Liverpool’s transfer business has already begun with the season nearly done and dusted.

Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen seems to be on the verge of joining the club, with official confirmation seemingly dropping any time now.

Speculation of a potential move to Anfield for the German international has intensified over the last few days.

David Ornstein dropped the news three days ago that Liverpool had made contact with the representatives of Florian Wirtz to express an interest in signing him if he leaves Bayer Leverkusen and is keen on moving to England.

News that really got the attention of Liverpool fans.

Wirtz is a 22-year-old creative midfielder who is deployed as a No.10 the majority of the time but can operate in the false nine position too.

“Bayer Leverkusen would prefer to sell to a team in the Premier League, a team abroad and not to strengthen a direct opponent in the Bundesliga.”

“There’s a lot of speculation and now it is up to Florian to decide his future and Liverpool is a great opportunity if he doesn’t decide on Bayern Munich.”
