Bayern Munich 'bid' to foil Liverpool transfer plan as Michael Olise move 'made'

Bayern Munich are reportedly considering offering star player Michael Olise a new contract before the end of the season.

The French winger is already tied down until 2029, but a report in Germany claims that discussions over securing Olise's future.

The Bundesliga star, who has already been linked with Liverpool, has yet to open talks over an extension, but the conversations of powerbrokers in Munich are said to be centred around protecting their investment over a longer period, report Bild.



Bayern signed Olise from Crystal Palace for a fee in the region of £52million.



Olise has previously been tipped as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah at Anfield, and it has been claimed the Reds were mulling a move as soon as next summer.

Olise starred in his debut season at the Allianz Arena and was named rookie of the year in the Bundesliga after scoring 20 goals and providing 23 assists in a successful 2024/25.

Sporting Director Christoph Freund has been pleased with the player's progress, saying: "Michael feels extremely comfortable in the group.

It's just a good mix at the moment.

"We deliberately wanted to be a bit smaller.
