Bayern Munich have endured a frustrating summer in the transfer market, repeatedly failing to land their top targets.

Their high-profile pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz collapsed when the 22-year-old opted for Liverpool, a big embarrassment for the German giants who were expected to land one of their nation’s best talents.

Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has rebuffed Bayern’s advances in favour of a move to Chelsea, leaving the German champions empty-handed once more.

Even Dortmund’s rising star Jamie Bynoe-Gittens reportedly spurned a summer switch to Munich, preferring to continue his development in England with the Blues.

Although Luis Diaz made the switch to Bavaria, the perennial Bundesliga champions need more attackers.

And it has led them to try their hand at shopping at Merseyside once again.

At least, according to Bayern Munich insider “Bayern Space” on X, who reports that Bayern Munich recently approached the agent of Federico Chiesa (Fali Ramadani) over making the switch to the Allianz Arena.

It was said to be prompted by Jan-Christian Dreesen’s connection from previous Liverpool negotiations for Diaz.

Bayern hoped Liverpool might be open to the idea, but Ramadani firmly reiterated Chiesa’s total commitment to Liverpool.

Chiesa himself refused any direct talks with Bayern’s officials, leading to a swift and clear rejection.

This refusal has been seen internally at Bayern as particularly painful, symbolizing their growing struggle to attract even fringe players.

Despite limited playing time at Liverpool, Chiesa showed no interest.

The report claims:

Ramadani reiterated the same message he had already given to Liverpool weeks earlier, that Chiesa’s commitment to Anfield is total and unwavering.

“There would be no negotiations, no second thoughts, no hesitation

Chiesa himself went so far as to refuse any direct conversation with Eberl, Freund or Vincent Kompany, leaving Bayern’s proposal unheard and swiftly discarded.”

It the claims are to be believed, it serves as another damaging blow to Bayern Munich’s perception in Europe.
