Watching on as Ryan Gravenberch became a Premier League winner in his second year as a Liverpool player, there is said to be a feeling of 'internal regret' over at the club who sold him to the Reds, Bayern Munich.
Gravenberch has transformed into one of the Premier League's most technically gifted deep-lying midfielders - one of Slot's greatest changes in his debut campaign - whilst his replacement is yet to get off the ground in Germany.

"Of course, there is internal regret over Ryan Gravenberch’s exit from FC Bayern.
The club knew what he was capable of, but he needed playing time (which he’s been given at Liverpool) that he was never going to get at Bayern Munich," Christian Falk has explained to CF Bayern Insider.
"Thomas Tuchel saw Gravenberch playing further up the pitch, perhaps as a No.10 or an offensive No.8.
But this season has proven that the Dutchman is more than capable of playing a more defensively-minded midfield role.
"If Tuchel had seen this, Bayern wouldn’t have spent €51m [£43.2m] on João Palhina.
Ultimately, if a player can perform like this at Liverpool, then it’s clear – a mistake was made."
CF Bayern Insider, in their own words, describe the choice to sell the midfielder for €40m [£34.2m] as 'haunting', and consider adding Palhinha's own fee to create a disastrous total of €91m (£77.4m).
An extra dimension to the whole irony of the situation is that Palhinha had been linked with a move from Fulham to Anfield for the best part of the same summer too.
In this Premier League-winning campaign, Gravenberch had started all 34 matches before the title was won.
He was allowed a well-earned rest for the trip to Chelsea last Sunday.
His 57 interceptions - the second-most of any player in the English top-flight - have been crucial to Liverpool's relentless hammering of opposition, enhanced by an 88.9 per cent pass accuracy to kickstart attacks at tempo.
Neppe, the technical director responsible for signing the 22-year-old from Ajax for Bayern in 2022 and then facilitating his sale one year later, said he was 'super happy' to see the player flourishing.

He added: "When we signed him from Ajax, we were 100 per cent convinced.
