Thomas Tuchel has been tipped to become the new Man United manager should Ruben Amorim get the sack and leave Old Trafford.
The German has just released his latest England squad which has included some notable inclusions and omissions.
Prior to the announcement, Tuchel told fans of Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson’s best position as the 22-year-old secured his first call-up to the senior national team.
Marcus Rashford is tipped to outlast Amorim at Man United, after he got a recall to the team following his new venture at Barcelona.
However, having been previously linked with the United job after the sacking of Erik ten Hag, former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock believes the German would happily make a surprise move to Old Trafford despite his current position.

Crucially, Tuchel only signed a contract that will run until the end of the 2026 World Cup, highlighting that he may opt to leave the Three Lions for a new challenge if unsuccessful.
Pondering over the prospect of the German taking over from the Portuguese manager who is under severe pressure, he said: ” What if Ruben Amorim gets sacked or leaves, and Thomas Tuchel goes in there [to Manchester United]?
I think that is a job that Thomas Tuchel would be desperate for and he’d love.
I think he’s enjoying being England manager because of everything that comes with it, but I think there is an element where he thinks ‘That’s Manchester United, i’d love that opportunity.’
“I think he would go in there and have an impact.
The result was the first time an African side had won on English soil, representing a historically shocking moment to forget for the national team.

Moreover, none of the victories have been convincing against, with all due respect, poor opposition as England dominated the ball for large portions of the game without being overly threatening.
If the former Bayern Munich boss continues to struggle to get the team far in the World Cup, the German may decide to leave at the end of his contract.
Given Amorim’s woes, you can never rule out that the Portuguese manager gets his marching orders at the end of the 2025-26 campaign with Sir Jim Ratcliffe agreeing terms with Tuchel behind close doors.
