Scotland international winger Ben Doak has completed a £25 million move from Liverpool to Premier League club Bournemouth. The 19-year-old signed a five-year contract with Bournemouth, marking a major permanent transfer for the promising young player.

Doak joined Liverpool from Celtic in 2022 and made 10 first team appearances. Last season, he was on loan at Middlesbrough in the Championship, where he scored 3 goals and provided 7 assists in 24 appearances before an injury cut his campaign short. His performances attracted interest from several clubs, including Crystal Palace, Leeds United, and various European teams like Porto, Stuttgart, Bologna, and Monaco.

The transfer deal includes a buy-back option for Liverpool, a key condition that enabled the Reds to agree to the sale. This provision allows Liverpool to potentially re-sign Doak in the future, reflecting their belief in his potential.

Ben Doak's move comes as Bournemouth look to strengthen after the departures of several key players last season and follows the sale of their forward Dango Ouattara to Brentford for £42.5 million. Liverpool have had a busy summer with substantial player transfers; the sale of Doak is part of their effort to balance squad changes, with the club having already sold eight players this summer for a total of £227.6 million.
