Florian Wirtz is the next target they are looking to acquire and, although progressing more slowly than fans would like, the deal will likely be completed soon.
Liverpool are set to spend around £118m for Wirtz, a fee that has attracted a lot of criticism, despite being labelled as a “top talent” by many within the game.
Former Premier League goalkeeper Ben Foster has also had his say on how much he thinks Wirtz is worth and it may actually please Liverpool fans more.

Liverpool are set to demolish the British transfer record that is currently set at £115m from when Moises Caicedo rejected Liverpool to join Chelsea.
However, despite the astronomical numbers being thrown around in this deal, Ben Foster believes that the Reds could still be getting a bargain.
“Again, the way the market is going, the prices that players are being bought for is ridiculous.
He would be in the £150m bracket if you’re looking at that type of player,” Foster said on the Fozcast.

“It might have to be that.
If they’re rejecting £118m, it might have to be something like that.
He’d be a great signing for any team in the Premier League.”
Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool are still both confident about getting this deal over the line and it’s only the finer details that are left to be ironed out.
The simple answer is, yes, Wirtz does have the numbers to support Liverpool spending such a huge amount of money on him.
Since joining Leverkusen, he has proven that he can both score and create goals, with Wirtz being compared to a cross between Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino.

At just 22, Wirtz has already cemented himself as one of the Bundesliga’s best and believes he is ready to take the next step in his career.
£118m is certainly a lot of money and there will be big pressure on his shoulders, although you would imagine Liverpool are confident that he can deal with it quite comfortably.
