Liverpool-linked Benjamin Sesko has made a huge claim about his future that Reds fans will love.
The Slovenian striker is enjoying a productive season in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig.
The 21-year-old has scored 13 goals in the Bundesliga this season and is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool.
The Reds reportedly see him as an option for their No.
9 position next season.
Arne Slot’s side will almost certainly sign a new striker, with one or both of Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota likely to leave this summer.
Sesko fits the profile of the kind of player they want, and the club recently sent scouts to watch him play for Leipzig.
The 6ft 5? striker is reportedly available this summer due to a variable clause in his deal with RB Leipzig, which is linked to his appearances, goals, and assists for the German club.
Reports claim that the RB Leipzig striker has a “performance-related” release clause in his contract, which is currently thought to be worth around €80 million (£68m/$90m).
While the noise around his future continues, Sesko has spoken about his plans in the summer.
The 21-year-old admits his future is ‘open’ once his second season with RB Leipzig is over.
“Right now, I’m 100 per cent focused on RB Leipzig.
It’s open, anything can happen.”
Meanwhile, former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could play a huge role in any potential move for Sesko.
However, speaking earlier this year, Klopp, who is now working in an advisory role for the Red Bull network, said that Sesko has ‘incredible potential’.
“My plans with him are that he scores more goals,” Klopp said.
“He’s a good player?
