The report claims that Liverpool had scouts in attendance for Leipzig's 3-3 draw with Bayern Munich at the weekend, with the Reds keeping an eye on Sesko in the weeks leading up to the summer transfer window.
However, Liverpool will reportedly face competition from Arsenal and Chelsea for Sesko's signature as the summer transfer fast approaches.
Former Manchester United star Roy Keane has named three areas of the squad that Liverpool could look to strengthen when the transfer window opens.
The Reds will already welcome Giorgi Mamardashvili to their squad for next season after a deal was agreed last summer with Valencia.
Keane, who was working as a pundit during Sky Sports' coverage of the Reds' defeat to Chelsea, listed the positions Slot could look for reinforcements in the transfer market.
"They've already got a goalkeeper [Mamardashvili] coming in," Keane told Sky Sports.
"You're thinking possibly a left-back, a centre-half if there's any injuries and potentially, I would say, a striker.
"But obviously, you've got to go and get quality [players], so I still think the manager will definitely be looking at strengthening, of course, but it's easier said than done.

"They've won the league, they'll be a big attraction to lots of players.
He's [Slot] a quality manager, players who might be interested in coming to Liverpool will be looking at the top players already staying there and committing to the club, so that's all pluses.
"It's now a matter of going out and getting these quality players that will improve Liverpool.
Because I've said many times before, winning the league is fantastic, you've got to back it up again next year."
