It's fair to see the last few weeks have been a struggle not just for Liverpool, but for Virgil van Dijk specifically.

Exposed by Napoli and Fulham, as well as Manchester United, Virgil van Dijk will want to forget about the horrid torments he has had to suffer on the field of late.



The imperious centre-back has not been in the greatest of form.

Of course, while he would undoubtedly like to take the blame, many of his 'mistakes' were down to the way Jürgen Klopp set up his side.

But the truth is that Van Dijk is still one of the best in the world, himself, and when you nullify Lewandowski to zero shots in the game, one can make little argument otherwise.

Much of that will have been down to the way Van Dijk handled him with ease.
