Former Anfield striker Michael Owen has raved about reported Liverpool target and West Ham United attacker Jarrod Bowen on Premier League Productions while watching him in action against Manchester City at London Stadium at the weekend.

Owen said about Bowen on Premier League Productions: “Jarrod Bowen has been so good this season – he’s really taken a big step forward.

Bowen, who has been linked with a move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the summer transfer window, scored twice against Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

“Now he’s being talked about in terms of his national side, and we’ve seen the reason why today.” • Twist in Liverpool’s pursuit of player Carragher says is ‘absolutely fantastic’ In our opinion, it is unlikely that Liverpool will sign Jarrod Bowen from West Ham United this summer.

Bowen has scored 12 goals and given 10 assists in Premier League this season.

Now, of course, there is every likelihood that Liverpool will continue to monitor the £80,000-a-week (SalarySport) West Ham star next season, and we think that they should do so.

90min reported last month that Liverpool are long-term admires of Bowen and want to sign him in the summer transfer window.
