Bournemouth have just agreed an amazing transfer deal which has left them with a lot of money to spend.
Andoni Iraola’s side have had a difficult window so far, following what was a record-breaking 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen both left Bournemouth earlier this summer, joining Liverpool and Real Madrid respectively.
To make matters worse, the South Coast side have now lost Illia Zabarnyi, who was recently signed by Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of around £57million.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that despite losing a key player, it is a great deal for the Cherries.

This article contains exclusive comment from Keith Wyness, former Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen CEO.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted it is “amazing” that the Cherries are in the position to be selling players to PSG, and that they now have a stack of money to spend.

From the sales of Kerkez, Zabarnyi, and Huijsen, Bournemouth have earned a combined £150m.
Wyness added that the recruitment team on the South Coast may still have something up their sleeve as they try and replace their departed stars.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I saw that transfer confirmed now to PSG, which is amazing for Bournemouth to be selling players to PSG.
There’s a stack of money there, but they’ve lost some players as well.
We haven’t seen what the new sporting director and recruitment team are thinking in Bournemouth.
“Richard Hughes, who’s doing a great job at Liverpool, was the one pulling the strings at Bournemouth before.
They’re going to have to get some big replacements in and they haven’t got long left to do it.
That’s why I’m not too concerned just yet.”
Meanwhile, Brentford are accelerating efforts to sign Bournemouth winger Dango Ouattara, sources have told Football Insider.
The Bees are eyeing Ouattara as a replacement for Bryan Mbeumo, who completed a move to Manchester United earlier this summer.
Sources say that Bournemouth would prefer to keep the 23-year-old, but are open to a sale if the circumstances are right.
The Burkina Faso international is interested in making the switch to West London, and the move is progressing quickly.
