Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers said his team made 'too many mistakes' during their 'disappointing' 2-1 defeat to Fulham on Monday.

Rodgers felt that 'Fulham deserved to win' as Leicester 'lacked creativity' in a game that could have seen them move level on 21 points with Tottenham and Liverpool at the top of the table.

Speaking after the game, Rodgers said: 'We're disappointed, mistakes were made in the first half and it was an uphill climb.

'I thought Fulham deserved to win it, they had more energy in the first half and pounced on our mistakes and in the second half they dropped deep.

'In the last few games we've made mistakes and got punished.

It's a young team and sometimes they play young.

We made mistakes in our defensive moments and in this league, if you give away opportunities, it can be very difficult.
