Nottingham Forest current and ex players were quick to react following confirmation of a former teammate’s next move after departing the club earlier this summer.
Nottingham Forest are preparing for a significant season as they prepare to return to European competition for the first time in 30 years.
As a result, the club has been active in the transfer market, reshaping the squad with both arrivals and departures.
New signings such as Dan Ndoye and Igor Jesus have been brought in by Forest to strengthen key areas ahead of the new campaign.
However, in line with the summer overhaul, several players have also headed for the exit door.
Matt Turner, Danilo and Anthony Elanga are among those to have sealed moves away from the City Ground.
Now, another former Forest player has confirmed the next step in their career, prompting a wave of support and reactions from familiar faces in the dressing room.

The Englishman previously played for clubs such as Huddersfield Town and Lincoln City before joining Forest, where he made 57 appearances.
His memorable goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers in December 2023 meant he had scored in all four tiers of English football.
Now, Toffolo embarks on a new chapter in the United States, where he will link up with former Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha at Charlotte FC.

Amid a summer of change at the City Ground, the club continue their push to strengthen the squad ahead of their European campaign.
Football Insider revealed Manchester City have set a £35 million asking price for James McAtee, a key target for Forest during this window.
Forest have already seen a £25 million bid rejected for McAtee, but remain keen to land the midfielder despite Morgan Gibbs-White recently signing a new deal.
With City looking to raise funds from player sales after a busy summer, Forest may now have an opportunity to return with an improved offer and push for a breakthrough in negotiations.
