At 75, Springsteen has often spoken about his longing to play in Liverpool, a dream realised with these Merseyside gigs.

The 'Born in the USA' icon has been vocal about The Beatles' influence on his musical journey.

As a teenager, Springsteen witnessed The Beatles make their mark on America with their iconic Ed Sullivan Show appearance.

Although Springsteen is known for regularly including Twist and Shout in his live performances, the evening marked just the second time he played it during the Land Of Hope and Dreams tour.

Not only did the performance resonate with iconic music, but Springsteen also made reference to Liverpool FC's success this Premier League season, asking the audience: "'Come on.
