Man United players were among those to show support to Marcus Rashford’s message on social media after his latest performance for England.
Rashford was dropped from the England starting XI against Serbia, with Thomas Tuchel selecting Anthony Gordon in his place.
However, the Man United loanee made his impact off the bench, stepping up to convert a penalty with confidence, as England thrashed Serbia 5-0 in their final international game during this break.
Other goal scorers included Harry Kane, Noni Madueke, Ezri Konsa and Marc Guehi, as the Three Lions maintained their perfect record in the World Cup qualifying table.
Despite Rashford’s omission from England’s line-up, the forward shared a passionate message on social media which saw reactions from his former teammates.
Rashford shared a message on Instagram after scoring for the national team for the first time since October 2023.
He posted an emotional and passionate message after his goal, and said: “5/5.
Always an honour to represent England”.

The forward saw plenty of responses to his message with Man United players such as Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire and Joshua Zirkzee all liking the post.
Other players also shared their appreciation with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers commenting with fire emojis while Declan Rice and Jack Grealish reacted with a like on the post.
Despite the forward being dropped from the starting 11, former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in March that Tuchel is keen to work with Rashford after bringing him back into the England setup.
England now sit seven points clear of Albania in Group K with 15 points, as World Cup qualification nears.

The forward has failed to make an instant impact at club level with Barcelona, and reports are already suggesting Rashford faces the prospect of returning to Man United.
If the Spanish side were to cancel the winger’s loan, it would cost them £4.3 million, and if performances don’t improve, they could cut his loan short.
There is an option to buy the England international in his loan deal, and Ruben Amorim will likely want to see him leave permanently.
