Three Liverpool players are among the eight nominees for the Premier League Player of the Year award but there is no place for Manchester United talisman Bruno Fernandes despite his 18 goal contributions.
Salah has already bagged the FWA Player of the Year award and is still in contention for the Ballon d'Or, making him a likely favourite for the Premier League's top honour.

Salah's remarkable season has seen him net 28 goals and provide 18 assists in 36 league matches, putting him in line for the Golden Boot and Playmaker awards as well.
The Egyptian has already set a new record for most goal involvements in a Premier League season, and could yet break Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne's record for the most assists in a campaign, with the duo currently leading with 20.
Like Salah, Van Dijk has been ever-present in Liverpool's campaign, contributing to 14 clean sheets and reinforcing his status as one of the world's elite defenders.
After the Reds missed out on Martin Zubimendi, the Dutchman has been almost ever-present in the midfield in the No.6 role.
Slot could also snap up the Manager of the Year award too, but will have to beat competition from Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo, Brentford's Thomas Frank, Carabao Cup-winning Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe and Wolves manager Vitor Pereira.
Slot said recently of Gravenberch: "He has all the ingredients to play really well in that position.
Perhaps what he could add to his game is maybe one or two touch play and find even more players in between the lines.
"He can take Virgil [van Dijk] as an example because for me he is our best player in that part, finding players in between the lines.
But he's done great, Ryan, that's for sure."
