Manchester United narrowly got over the line against Chelsea in a 2-1 victory, which saw two dramatic red cards at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Heading into the match, Ruben Amorim was under immense pressure, with sources telling Football Insider that Oliver Glasner is seen as an ideal replacement at Man United.

The Portuguese continued to bench 20-year-old Kobbie Mainoo, who is being targeted by Newcastle United in the January transfer window, Football Insider revealed.

Former Southampton striker Matt Le Tissier believed Amorim has more time at Man United, and the victory strengthens his position, as Football Insider reflects on the monumental win.

The Turkish international continues to look out of his depth as he struggled with his distribution and presence in the box.

Senne Lammens must be wondering what he has to do to become the first-choice goalkeeper, as an alarmingly obvious decision has to be made by the Portuguese manager to drop Altay Bayindir.

Often shaky at the back, Amorim decided to restore the Englishman to the starting XI to lead the Red Devils out.

Harry Maguire grabbed an assist as well as putting in a smart defensive performance to get United over the line.

A very mixed display from the Dutchman, who showed moments of defensive quality as well as being too easy to play against, with the Chelsea attackers sprinting past him on various occasions.

The Moroccan was defensively faultless under the lights at Old Trafford as he prevailed in every single one of his seven duels in the game.

The right-wing back delivered one key pass as well, showing his importance in United’s attacking play.

Talk about a rollercoaster of a first-half performance from the Brazilian as he scored and got sent off in 50 minutes.

The early red card to Robert Sanchez put the Red Devils in the driving seat before the number 18’s second bookable offence saw the playing field level once again.

It’s the perfect example of why it has never worked at Old Trafford.

At the heart of everything the Red Devils did, the club captain was a shining light in a gritty performance.

The number eight scored the opener and worked tirelessly to ensure his beloved club got a desperately needed set of three points.

If everyone had his passion as a minimum, things would look much rosier.

From an attacking perspective, the Dane was heavily involved as he grabbed an assist, two key passes and one big chance created.

Patrick Dorgu has the makings of being an ace wing-back under Amorim if he can maintain this kind of consistency.

Was the victim of Sanchez’s last man tackle, which saw the Spaniard receive his marching orders, but apart from that, the Cameroonian didn’t quite have the final product in the attacking third.

Amad Diallo couldn’t really impact the game and often found himself stuck in transition, opting to play sensible passes rather than elaborate ones.

The Ivorian did the job he needed to do and helped to get his side over the line.

The Slovenian still cannot catch a break after he was sacrificed at half-time following Casemiro’s red card.

Benjamin Sesko managed just eight touches in the first half despite the numerical advantage the Red Devils had for the first 49 minutes.

There were some positive signs, like his flick on for Mbeumo before Sanchez was sent off.

The Uruguayan entered the fray in the second half to cover for the reckless Casemiro and showed why he will definitely cover well for the Brazilian in his absence.

Back from injury, the Old Trafford faithful were thrilled to see the Brazilian back on his way to full fitness.

Mason Mount came on to face his former club and struggled to get involved with proceedings when coming off the bench, touching the ball just nine times.

Subbed on for Maguire, the Frenchman added little in his short cameo.

The wantaway academy graduate came on for a mere few minutes and barely touched the ball.
