Man United players were quick in their reaction on social media after a player has confirmed to have left the club for the rest of the season.

Ruben Amorim has made several changes to his squad during his first summer transfer window, with Man United bringing in Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon to bolster the squad.

The club have also seen departures, including Marcus Rashford completing a loan move to Barcelona, though efforts to move on fringe players like Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho have so far been unsuccessful.

With their Premier League season approaching on 17 August, United remain focused on trimming the squad, and it has now been confirmed that another player has left the club on loan.

While the club are preparing for the new season, Man United have now confirmed that Toby Collyer will join West Brom for the 2025/26 season.

The announcement was posted on Instagram on 15 August and drew plenty of attention, with teammates Kobbie Mainoo, Bryan Mbeumo and Lisandro Martinez all liking the message.

He made 13 senior appearances for United last season, including six in the Premier League, and reports suggested that 12 Championship clubs had enquired about a loan move for Collyer.

Ultimately, Ryan Mason’s side convinced the 21-year-old to join.

With competition in midfield fierce , featuring Bruno Fernandes, Mainoo and Ugarte, United decided a loan was the best option to ensure Collyer gets regular first-team football.

Midfield remains an area Amorim is keen to strengthen and Football Insider revealed Man United have been monitoring Brighton star Carlos Baleba, though the deal could cost upwards of £100million.

However, it has since been reported that United will not pursue the signing after Brighton made it clear they do not intend to sell the midfielder [The Athletic].

It remains to be seen whether United will continue their search for a midfield addition, having previously been linked with players including Douglas Luiz and Morten Hjulmand.
