Man United players were quick to react after a teammate confirmed their exit away from the side.

Man United have had an underwhelming start to the season, picking up just one win in the league, whilst Ruben Amorim’s side were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup.

The summer also brought huge changes to the squad, with Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho leaving Man United.

Another player that has continued to be under speculation is Andre Onana, with Amorim preferring Altay Bayindir in the Premier League.

Additionally, Man United signed Senne Lammens on deadline day, which pushed the Cameroon international further down the pecking order, and now his departure has been confirmed.

It was confirmed by the club on 11 September that Onana has joined Trabzonspor on a loan deal for the rest of the season.

The goalkeeper reposted the Turkish side’s announcement on Instagram and saw support from his former teammates with Bryan Mbeumo, Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund all liking the message.

Football Insider revealed Man United are aiming to sell Onana on a permanent deal next summer, with the club hopeful that a strong loan spell in Turkey will help rebuild his value.

The goalkeeper had fallen out of favour with Amorim after a run of poor performances, with just one start this season coming against Grimsby in the Carabao Cup.

However, Man United fans called for Onana to be sold following his performance due to numerous errors during the game.

Since arriving in 2023 under Erik ten Hag, the goalkeeper has struggled to establish himself, and now hopes a fresh start in the Turkish Super Lig can help him rediscover his best form.

Another player that left the side this summer was Sancho, who secured a loan move to Aston Villa on deadline day.

A permanent exit could soon follow, with Football Insider revealing Sancho is attracting interest from a number of top clubs across Europe as he enters his final year of his contract.

Man United are yet to trigger the extension in his contract, and the potential of agreeing a free transfer has reignited interest from clubs.
