Another club has joined the race for highly-sought Liverpool attacker Harvey Elliott.

The 22-year-old looks to be on a growing list of Liverpool players who will depart Anfield this summer.

Like his teammates Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa, the England U21 star, is in need of game-time.

Elliott, who joined the Reds’ first team in 2019, has grown increasingly frustrated by his limited opportunities on Merseyside.

During the 2023/24 campaign, Elliott featured prominently across all competitions.

He logged 1,335 minutes in the Premier League over 34 appearances, contributing three goals and nine assists.

Across Europa League, FA Cup, and EFL Cup fixtures, he added a further 1,451 minutes.

In stark contrast, Elliott managed only 360 minutes in Premier League play during 2024/25, spread over eight substitute appearances and two starts after the title had been secured.

His total time on the pitch across all competitions amounted to just 826 minutes – a drop of over 1,900 minutes compared to the previous season.

Despite flashes of quality, including a critical goal against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, Elliott’s peripheral role has prompted speculation over his future.

The player himself has admitted that he is ready to move on from Liverpool this summer.

Speaking to reporters at the end of the season, the 21-year-old said:

“It’s just a situation that me, and the team on my behalf, have to have a conversation about,” Elliott explained.

“I just want to improve and be the best player I can be.

If that’s to go somewhere else, then it’s a decision I’m going to have to make.

Two Premier League sides have reportedly registered their interest in the 22-year-old.

Aston Villa and Brighton are said to be keen on him, but they will be rivalled by Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

This is according to The Mirror, who report that the Bundesliga side could offer “Elliott the chance of a fresh start in Germany if h decides to quit the Premier League in the coming weeks.”

Meanwhile, the Athletic has reported that Liverpool would want a minimum of £40m to allow Elliott to depart.
