The Premier League brings another heavyweight clash as Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield this afternoon.

The Reds come into the game full of belief after back-to-back wins over Bournemouth and Newcastle United.

Seven goals in two matches show how dangerous Arne Slot’s side can be going forward.

But at the same time, Liverpool have looked shaky at the back.

They have let two-goal leads slip and have already conceded two in every competitive game this season, including the Community Shield defeat to Crystal Palace.

Still, there is no lack of momentum.

Rio Ngumoha’s stunning 100th-minute winner at St James’ Park gave Liverpool three points and kept their perfect league start alive.

That moment lifted the players and the supporters.

Now the focus is on Arsenal, the runners-up from last season.

The Gunners will push Liverpool to their limits, and the champions know they cannot afford to be careless.

Arne Slot confirmed good news in his press conference on Friday.

He revealed that Virgil van Dijk is fit after a rough challenge against Newcastle.

“Mac Allister has also started training again so I don’t think we had any injuries coming out of that game [at Newcastle], no

And Virgil is also OK,” Slot said.

The coach also explained the progress of Conor Bradley, who is pushing to return at right-back.

“I think the positive is that Conor Bradley only had one or two training sessions before the Newcastle game, he has trained this week the whole week – [well] not the whole week as there are still two days to go.”

With Jeremie Frimpong injured, Slot has a decision to make at right-back.

Dominik Szoboszlai impressed in that role against Newcastle and could keep his spot.

In midfield, Alexis Mac Allister is set to come back in for Curtis Jones.

That means a partnership with Ryan Gravenberch.

The attack remains unchanged, with Hugo Ekitike leading the line again.

The lineup for the game at Anfield is: Alisson; Szoboszlai, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo; Ekitike.

Kick-off at Anfield is set for 4.30pm BST, and Arsenal arrive with a strong lineup.

In goal is Raya, with Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, and Calafiori forming the back line.

The midfield is packed with control and power as Zubimendi, Merino, and Rice link up.

Out wide, Madueke and Martinelli bring pace and creativity, while Gyökeres leads the attack up front.
