Callum Wilson’s contract details have emerged after the striker completed his move to West Ham United last week.
West Ham announced the signing of Wilson on 2 August, which was met with a mixed reception by Hammers fans.
The 33-year-old left Newcastle back in June following the expiration of his contract, after five years at the club.
During his time on Tyneside, the former England international was plagued by injuries, but he still managed to score 49 goals for the Magpies.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that West Ham have taken Wilson’s injury record into account in his new contract.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness revealed that Wilson is effectively on a pay-per-play contract at West Ham,

The striker is on a deal that is mainly incentive-based, which means that he will benefit financially from staying fit and playing games.
Wyness added that while it is ideal for the club to agree on such a good contract, it is also great for Wilson that he is able to remain in the Premier League.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I think it’s a start.
“As I understand it, the contract is incentive-based, basically pay per play in many ways, which is great for West Ham.
But that means if he’s out, then they need somebody there.
I don’t think he’s who you build your squad around.
“The interesting parallel still for me was what Chris Wood did at Forest and he had a superb couple of seasons.
I think Callum, if he keeps himself fit, can be the same and can be a star player for West Ham.
But the deal that I understand they’ve got him on at West Ham is a good one for the club.
“It’s great for the player to carry on at this level, and I really wish him well because I think he’s a very talented forward and I think he can do a great job if he can stay injury-free.”

Meanwhile, Man City are reportedly unlikely to reignite their interest in signing West Ham star Lucas Paqueta this summer.
That is according to their former chief scout Mick Brown, who claims that City have already signed alternatives to the 27-year-old.
Brown told Football Insider on 29 July that West Ham could accept offers for Paqueta this summer as clubs have been keeping a close eye on his situation.
Any deal would now be expected to cost closer to £30million, but there is little room in the City squad and Pep Guardiola is focusing on selling players as things stand.
