Caoimhin Kelleher says he made memories that he will "cherish forever" at Liverpool in a classy parting message upon completion of his Brentford transfer.
The Republic of Ireland international moved to the Gtech Community on Tuesday in a deal worth up to £18m after Mark Flekken was confirmed as having joined Bayer Leverkusen.
Kelleher was into the final 12 months of his Anfield contract and, with the arrival of £29m Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia increasing the competition for places alongside Alisson Becker, the 26-year-old was keen to move on in search of first-team opportunities.
The Cork-born goalkeeper made 67 appearances in total for the Reds that included two successful League Cup finals, both against Chelsea in 2022 and 2024, and in a post on his Instagram account following his transfer to the Bees, Kelleher opened up on what it meant to play for the 20-time champions.

He wrote: "To have the opportunity to play for this club was something I never took for granted and the memories I have I will cherish forever.
"From making my debut to winning trophies, I have loved it all.
"Thank you to everyone at the club from the staff to my coaches and my team-mates past and present.
I have always felt the love and it means a lot.
"I will always have a special place in my heart for this club and city.
Thank you all and good luck for the future.
"You'll Never Walk Alone."
Kelleher joined Liverpool as a teenager in 2015 from Irish club Ringmahon Rangers.
He said of signing for Brentford: "’m buzzing, I’m really happy to be here.
I felt for my own career that the time was right for me to go, to be a No.1 and to play every week.

"I heard of some interest a number of weeks ago.
Once I knew Brentford was in for me, it was definitely one I was really excited about and wanted to do as quickly as possible.
"When I come back for pre-season, all focus will be on what I want to do next year; to work on certain goals and what I need to improve on, and to have a really good season for Brentford."
