Former Everton and current Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that anything could happen with his future amid reports that Liverpool favourite Xabi Alonso could succeed him at the Bernabeu.
The legendary Italian head coach was linked with the exit door last week when his team were knocked out of the Champions League by Arsenal.
It was claimed that Ancelotti would depart after the Copa del Rey final, with the Brazilian national team keen to appoint him.
If he were to exit, it is thought Bayer Leverkusen head coach Alonso would be high on Los Blancos' wishlist.
Alonso was linked with the Liverpool job last year when Jurgen Klopp announced he would be stepping aside.
However, the Spaniard chose to commit his future to Leverkusen.

After winning the Bundesliga in remarkable circumstances last season, Alonso's side look set to finish runners-up to Bayern Munich this campaign with the status quo in Germany set to return.
The 43-year-old has previously expressed his desire to manage his former clubs, including Bayern, Real and, of course, Liverpool.
However, the opportunity to manage in Madrid is not yet a guarantee while Ancelotti is still in charge.
As I've always said, I love this job, I loved my first spell [from 2013 to 2015], I love this second spell [since 2021], and I want this to go as far as possible.
"One day when it ends, I'll be thankful and take my hat off to this club, that's all." Liverpool are likely to be interested in Alonso as their manager in the future but at present they will be satisfied with Arne Slot.
