Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool will not be forgiven if Mohamed Salah leaves.

Salah is now in the final 18 months of his existing deal at Anfield but progress over an extension appears to have hit a stumbling block since last summer.

“But Liverpool Football Club and the owners, I don’t think they would be forgiven if Salah left this club in the summer or in 18 months’ time.

However Carragher has urged his former employers to act swiftly to avoid losing Salah, who is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations, in the long-term.
