Manchester City supporters have been left angered by Matheus Nunes’ performance in their defeat against Brighton on Sunday.
After being beaten by Tottenham on 23 August, Man City also lost 2-1 at Brighton on 31 August, despite taking the lead through Erling Haaland.
The Seagulls found their equaliser via James Milner’s penalty after Nunes committed a handball offence in his own area.
Pep Guardiola’s men have now won just one of their opening three top-flight games, which does not bode well for their Premier League title chances.
Meanwhile, Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Man City can’t sign Rodrygo without selling Savinho first.
The Real Madrid forward notched 14 goals and nine assists last season, and could have what it takes to help the Etihad Stadium club get back on form.
Guardiola has been busy in the summer transfer market, as Man City have signed goalkeeper James Trafford and players like former AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.

The North West side’s summer recruits, Reijnders and Rayan Cherki, both scored when Guardiola’s side beat Wolves 4-0 in their opening Premier League game.
However, the former top-flight champions have subsequently endured back-to-back defeats ahead of the international break.
Supporters feel that Nunes was largely culpable for Man City’s loss at Brighton, but Guardiola has lots of work to do to help his side challenge the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal for Premier League glory.
In their next league game, the Etihad Stadium outfit host local rivals Manchester United on 14 September, before their Champions League campaign begins against Napoli on 18 September.
Napoli’s visit to Man City will witness Kevin De Bruyne’s emotional return to his former club, and Guardiola’s men will have to perform better than they did against Brighton to defeat the defending Serie A champions.

Guardiola and Man City encountered another stumbling block in their Premier League title bid when they were beaten by Brighton, and Nunes did not cover himself in glory.
One member of the Etihad Stadium faithful said on X on 31 August: “At the end of the day, Nunes is a great player with a destructive bozo gene.
“You cannot have a player who switches off for a second every game and causes something catastrophic, no matter how good they are.”
Another supporter said: “Every time he plays, you’re sat watching and waiting for him to have a brain fart.”
