Celtic could be about to smash a club record as they are expected to file new paperwork within days.
Brendan Rodgers’s side have had a mixed start to the new season after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
It means the Scottish champions will be playing in the Europa League this season, with their opening fixture taking place against Red Star Belgrade on Thursday (18 September).
Celtic have, however, had a reasonable start to the campaign domestically, having picked up 13 points from their first five Scottish Premiership games, leaving them sitting nine points above Old Firm rivals Rangers.

Celtic are expected to announce last season’s financial results soon after the figures for their 2023-24 campaign were published on 16 September 2024.
Celtic posted a record-breaking revenue for 2023-24, with their turnover rising from £119.9m to £124.6m – marking a 3.9 per cent increase on the previous year.

However, the Parkhead club suffered a minor hit in revenue in the first half of the 2024-25 financial year after their turnover fell from £85.2m to £83.5m.

The Hoops’ stadium operations revenue increased from £29.8m to £31.6m, while their commercial revenue dropped from £37.2m to £33.8m and merchandising slipped from £18.3m to £18.1m.
Despite those figures, finance expert Stefan Borson previously told Football Insider Celtic’s overall revenue is likely to increase slightly for 2024-25, ensuring they break their club-record turnover again.
Celtic landed around £38m in prize money from the Champions League last season.
Rodgers’s side finished 21st in the league phase of the competition before being narrowly beaten 3-2 on aggregate by Bayern Munich in the knock-out round play-offs.
Celtic banked around £43m overall in prize money last season after being crowned Scottish Premiership champions and also beating Rangers in the Scottish League Cup final.
However, the Hoops are unlikely to reach those figures again this season after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
