Liverpool’s chances of major silverware could take a massive hit if Arne Slot does not fix one huge issue at the club.
Virgil van Dijk scored a late winner as Liverpool beat Atletico Madrid 3-2 to begin their Champions League campaign with victory.
Salah made Champions League history as the Reds raced into a two-goal lead inside the opening six minutes before the visitors produced a remarkable comeback.
It comes after Liverpool’s win at Burnley in the Premier League made it four straight victories to start the new league season.

Federico Chiesa’s winner against Bournemouth, Rio Ngumoha’s strike at Newcastle, Dominik Szoboszlai’s free-kick against Arsenal, Salah’s penalty at Burnley and van Dijk’s header against Atletico Madrid have all won matches for Liverpool beyond the 80th minute this season.
Whilst Slot will have been delighted to come away with all three points from all those fixtures, Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink doesn’t believe the trend is a good sign for the Reds.
“You can’t keep doing this, you want it to happen but this happens four times in a row that’s a problem,” Hasselbaink told Match of the Day [18 September].

“The Burnley one is a little bit different but winning, giving goals away and then in the last moment having to find a magic moment, yes it’s good you’re showing resilience, you’re showing you don’t give up, you’re showing that you’re still there but this is not going to keep on happening.
He’s saying he felt that the goal was coming from Atletico Madrid that is the problem really, the goal is not allowed to come.
“When you’re winning 2-0 you need to control the game and they didn’t do that.”
Marcos Llorente’s double, with a goal on the stroke of half-time and an 81st minute equaliser had looked to have given Atletico Madrid a point at Anfield.
Including their Community Shield match against Crystal Palace to kickstart the new season, Liverpool have conceded twice in four of their last six matches.

Andy Robertson has already regained his position at left-back amid Milos Kerkez’s struggles, and Jeremie Frimpong has also had an injury concern this season.
Slot must address current defensive woes in his side, or their slice of fortune in-front of goal late on will eventually run out and hinder their Premier League title hopes.
