Chelsea have reportedly made contact to sign one Liverpool-linked player.

The Reds have been active in the transfer market so far, with official deals already agreed for Jeremie Frimpong and Armin Pesci.

Meanwhile, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez are also on their way with their deals now agreed but awaiting official announcement.

After those deals, the club may move for a striker.

Benjamin Sesko and Hugo Ekitike are options reportedly being considered.

Liverpool also have an interest in several other players, including Belgium youngster Malick Fofana.

Fofana openly admitted his desire to sign for Liverpool in the past.

Earlier this season, his former agent spoke about his client’s future, admitting that the 20-year-old’s desires to move to Anfield.

Speaking with Africa Foot, Bobo Fofana, the player’s now former agent, said, “The choice of the heart would be Liverpool.

“He has the potential to become a regular, and above all, we’d like to see him succeed African legends such as Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Elhadj Diouf.”

While Fofana is said to favour a move to Liverpool, it appears as though Chelsea are the ones making the move for him.

According to L’Equipe, the Blues have set their sights on the 20-year-old and have already begun talks with Lyon about signing him.

“Chelsea decided to take the next step by calling the Lyon management to establish initial contact (for Fofana), the report said.

“The Blues are targeting the winger as part of their strategy of signing some of the world’s best talents?

No offers have been discussed at this time.”

The report also revealed that Nottingham Forest have expressed interest in Fofana in recent times.

L’Equipe’s post was also confirmed by reliable journalist David Ornstein, who revealed that the winger is among multiple wing options the Blues are considering to sign this summer.
