Chelsea are prepared to match any offer Borussia Dortmund receive for reported Liverpool target Jude Bellingham, according to journalist Matt Law.
Chelsea willing to match offers for Liverpool target Bellingham
As per a recent report by The Athletic, BVB value Bellingham at an astonishing £131.7m.
“They will match any bid that is made for Bellingham, but the move won’t just come down to money.”
According to ESPN, Liverpool currently lead the race to land the midfielder’s signature, despite major interest from the Blues, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
“Chelsea will bid big for Bellingham, but they are not favourites to sign him,” Law said.
Unlike Chelsea, the Reds cannot afford to get this deal wrong.
Speaking on the London Is Blue podcast, the Daily Telegraph correspondent revealed that the Stamford Bridge outfit are willing to financially back any proposed transfer for the 19-year-old.
Bellingham is Jurgen Klopp’s number one signing, and the club should do all they can to get him to Anfield.
