Chelsea will face Arsenal in a crucial Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge that could have significant implications for the Premier League title race.

Chelsea, finding a bit of form after a turbulent season, are desperate to climb up from the mid-table obscurity they’ve found themselves in.

Meanwhile, Arsenal, firmly in the title hunt, cannot afford to drop points as they look to maintain their narrow lead over closely following Liverpool and Manchester City.

The Gunners are only ahead of Liverpool on goal difference, while Manchester City are point behind enjoying the benefit of a game in hand.

Mikel Arteta’s men, who have largely been dominant in the Premier League this season barring a few hiccups, will be aware that anything less than three points could prove fatal to their title chances.

However, the visitors at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow night are set to be without their star man.

Chelsea set to be without Cole Palmer for Arsenal clash

The Blues are set to be without Cole Palmer when they face off against Arsenal tomorrow evening.

It has been reported that the attacker is ill, and thus missed Monday’s training session in preparation for the clash.

Speaking in his pre-Arsenal press conference, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino said of Palmer’s likely absence.

“Today.

No [he can’t play against Arsenal], we will see tomorrow…we will have to assess tomorrow morning.”

“But today, no, I don’t believe he can be involved but we need to assess tomorrow and then we will decide.”

“But even if he is good tomorrow, he still might not be in a condition to play?

The hope is that he recovers from this situation as soon as possible so that he can be involved with the team again.”

Cole Palmer has had an outstanding 2023/24 season with Chelsea, emerging as a key player who is one of the first names on the team sheet.

The Manchester City youth product has gone to a different level with the Blues, striking 20 goals and 9 assists in only 28 Premier League games.

He will be a big miss for Pochettino and his men, and Arsenal can only benefit from Palmer not being involved on Tuesday night.
