Chelsea could now miss out on the signing of Xavi Simons to Tottenham as their main concentration remains on Alejandro Garnacho.
The Argentinian winger is a member of Ruben Amorim‘s “bomb squad” at Old Trafford, alongside Rasmus Hojlund, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia, having fallen out completely with the manager.
Despite his obvious disciplinary issues off the pitch, Football Insider understood earlier this month that Man United would wait until Garnacho’s asking price dipped before sealing a deal.
Each day, a new update appears to suggest that a transfer is getting closer and closer between the two Premier League giants, but with more time being wasted on the winger, the Blues could miss out on a crucial signing.

Tottenham have discussed the possibility of hijacking a deal for Simons, a player who has impressed massively since moving to RB Leipzig, where has now has 22 goals and 22 assists in 78 appearances.
The likelihood of that exact event happening this summer could skyrocket after recent developments in North London, with Enzo Maresca‘s side only focusing on one move at a time, while also attempting to move current players on.

Chelsea are expected to get rid of Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, Raheem Sterling, and even Tyrique George, but until those moves happen, there is limited space in the squad.
