Chelsea will wait until Manchester United have reduced Alejandro Garnacho’s asking price before making an approach, sources have told Football Insider.
The Red Devils currently value the Argentine winger at £50million, but Enzo Maresca’s side are likely to hold off any bids until the price tag has dropped to around £40m.
Sources say that Garnacho is eager to make the switch to Stamford Bridge after falling out with United manager Ruben Amorim.
The 21-year-old publicly criticised Amorim after he was left out of the Manchester side’s 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final back in May, and has been looking for a move away ever since.

Man United will have to reduce the current price tag they have on Garnacho as the transfer deadline gets closer.
The Argentina international has no future at Old Trafford, meaning that Amorim’s side are desperate to offload him, and will eventually have to drop their asking price if no offers come in.
United are also in a position where they need to sell players before they can return back into the transfer market to make more additions to their squad.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United have set their sights on a deal for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson after Man United beat them to Benjamin Sesko’s signature, sources have told Football Insider.
The Blues have slapped an initial £80m asking price on Jackson, however, sparking doubts about whether Newcastle will be prepared to match that fee.
This comes after former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that the Red Devils walked away from signing Jackson after learning of the price tag.
The Magpies are one of five clubs eyeing the Chelsea striker in the closing stages of the transfer window as he is now expected to leave Stamford Bridge.
