Chris Sutton is frustrated with the lack of respect being aimed at Ange Postecoglou following his appointment at Nottingham Forest.
Postecoglou has replaced Nuno Espirito Santo at the City Ground following a rollercoaster summer transfer window for the Reds, with club owner Evangelos Marinakis also getting involved.
Espirito Santo fell out with Global Head of Football, Edu, due to a disagreement in transfer approaches, with the manager keen on capturing Adama Traore, a signing which was blocked by his peers.
The Tricky Trees were quick to find a replacement for the 51-year-old, turning to former Tottenham boss Postecoglou, likely due to his ties with Marinakis, and the decision has raised some eyebrows.

Highly respected journalist, Henry Winter, refuses to believe that Postecoglou is an upgrade on his predecessor, stating that his style of football in North London was “calamitous” and that the appointment is a huge gamble.
Responding to Winter’s comments (9 September), Sutton wrote: “A lot of nonsense in here, Henry… They both have different ways of playing, that’s all.
“But to go down to the ‘who’s better’ route and not to recognise Ange Postecoglou‘s achievements throughout his career is very short-sighted…”

Compared to Winter, Sutton is extremely excited about the appointment, hitting back at those who are already doubting his arrival at the City Ground.
It is fair to say that the Australian experienced a much more successful time in North London, especially given that Nuno lasted just 17 games in charge before being sacked.
While Postecoglou’s win rate was lower by just over six per cent, and he finished 17th in the Premier League table last season, he lifted Spurs’ first piece of silverware in 17 years.
There is very little argument to suggest that the ranking should be the other way, but after Nuno’s time at the City Ground, the former Celtic boss has a huge challenge on his hands.
Not only will he need to win the fans’ respect, but he has also been handed the keys after just one win in their opening three matches and Europa League football to contend with.
