Bournemouth should have been awarded a penalty for a foul on Alex Scott against Liverpool, according to Keith Hackett.

The former PGMOL chief and ex-FIFA official exclusively told Football Insider that Alexis Mac Allister “clattered” the Cherries midfielder in the penalty area at Anfield on Friday, 15 August.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former referee said: “Bournemouth had a real strong shout for a penalty kick when Alexis Mac Allister came in and clattered Alex Scott.

“It was a careless challenge, and as such, it is a foul.

This should have resulted in a penalty kick to Bournemouth.”
