Liverpool fans might find themselves needing a deep breath – or at least a strong cup of tea -as they try to keep up with the club’s summer transfer rollercoaster.

The sheer volume and pace of rumours, negotiations, and breaking news have turned following the Reds into a full-time job.

The saga around Florian Wirtz is a perfect example: one minute, the deal is all but done, with whispers of a record-breaking bid and a medical just days away; the next, reports suggest Liverpool are miles apart from Leverkusen’s valuation, and suddenly the move could be off.

It’s enough to make even the most dedicated supporter’s head spin.

Then there’s Milos Kerkez, whose move from Bournemouth seems more straightforward, but even his transfer comes with its own twists -meetings this week, add-ons to negotiate, and medicals still pending.

And just when fans think they’ve got a handle on the incomings, along comes the constant noise surrounding Darwin Nunez.

But one signing that has been completed an officially seal is Armin Pesci, who was announced by the club this past Saturday.

The young goalkeeper made 34 appearances for his club across all competitions this past season, helping his side secure second place in the Hungarian top flight behind only Naby Keita’s Ferencvaros.

Pecsi’s rapid development has not gone unnoticed by Hungarian national team selectors, with the 20-year-old capped at U17, U19, and U21 levels.

Now Puskas Akademia director Balázs Tóth has disclosed that several ‘major clubs’ showed interest in Armin Pecsi before his move to Liverpool.

“We have seen year after year during our work that he is a very talented player and he certainly has a beautiful future ahead of him,” he said via Nemzeti Sport.

“In recent times, huge clubs have been interested in him and have cast their nets on him.”

“He has a lot of work to do next year and he has to be patient, because it will definitely take a year to prepare him as best as possible for the Premier League.”

He added that Pesci has the mental attributes to succeed at Liverpool – where talent won’t be enough for the 20-year-old:

“Humility and commitment are present in every player, so mental strength is definitely necessary for them to be able to climb the ranks.”

“In my opinion, talent is no longer enough?

It takes a very strong mentality and dedication for someone to reach the top and even be able to sign for a club like Ármin.”

“We can be proud that we have such a youth training centre, that we can educate great players who can take it to such a high level, and who are a huge value to Hungarian football.”
