The Reds’ hectic first transfer window looks set to continue as teams competing in the Club World Cup aim to get their targets in time for the competition.
Liverpool have the luxury of relaxing a bit more over the next few months to ensure they are fully prepared for the new season, hence why they have tried to sign players early.
Outgoings are also needed to balance the books, but the Reds are in no rush to sell as they can be methodical in their approach to ensure they maximise profit.
They also find themselves in a strong position as one player in particular is wanted by a club in desperate need of a striker, and they may just over-pay to get him as quickly as possible.

The Club World Cup is less than a week away and many teams still aren’t fully satisfied with their side, forcing them to scramble around at the last minute.
Saudi club Al Hilal are one of these after still not signing a striker, with Victor Osimhen the latest to reject their approach.
However, Darwin Nunez remains a top target and according to the Daily Mail, Al Hilal could put in an offer for him today to ensure he can be registered to play in time, with the player himself keen on the move.

The deadline will certainly be tight, but this may benefit the Reds as the Saudi club may overpay to ensure negotiations happen as quickly as possible.
Around £70m is what Liverpool will be hoping for in order to recoup as much of the £85m that they spent on the Uruguayan three seasons ago.
Despite being offered the same amount of money they want now in January from Al-Nassr, Liverpool rejected their two offers as there was no time to source a replacement.
This shocked many fans as his value has dropped significantly, but it appears smart as the Reds should still get a similar fee for him now.
Overall, it is the right time for Nunez to depart Anfield as his course appears to be run, with Arne Slot appearing not to be very keen on the 25-year-old.
The striker has been a bit-part player but has seen opportunities lessen in bigger games as he clearly is no longer trusted, suggesting it is best for both parties to call it quits.
Of course, a replacement will be needed, unless Slot plans to play Florian Wirtz as an unconventional number nine, but the money they should get from the Nunez sale will certainly help.
