Darwin Nunez’s Liverpool future has been at the centre of attention for some time now.

Since the 2024-25 summer transfer window was opened, Napoli have seemed to be the team who were most likely to add Nunez to their ranks.

However, as Liverpool are refusing to budge from their price tag for Nunez, their attention has turned towards Lorenzo Lucca once again.

The report shares that Al-Hilal have ‘contacted’ Liverpool about how much a deal for Nunez would cost them.

Arriyadiyah share that Al-Hilal’s attention has now turned back towards Nunez as their talks with Victor Osimhen have fallen through, despite them offering him €40million (£34.7million) per year.

The Reds have already been linked with several strikers this summer, such as Alexander Isak and Eintracht Frankfurt’s star boy, Hugo Ekitike.

If one of these two were to come in and replace Nunez during the 2025-26 summer transfer window, Arne Slot’s men would be in a much better position to try and retain the title and perhaps go a tad further in the Champions League.
