Cody Gakpo has thrived since joining Liverpool, first under Jurgen Klopp and now playing for Arne Slot.
The Netherlands international has adapted to life quite easily at Anfield, and while he did not show just how prolific he could be at the start, he is more than making up for it now.
Cody Gakpo had been one of the most exciting prospects in Europe while he was playing for PSV, which saw both Liverpool and Manchester United chase the Dutchman.
Liverpool obviously won out, and the raw talent has been shaped and developed further in his time at Anfield under both Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot.

Now Gakpo has made an admission about the ‘best’ coach he has ever worked under.
The 26-year-old has played under some of the biggest names in world football, including Jurgen Klopp, Arne Slot, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ronald Koeman.
However, while speaking to Sky Sports, Gakpo said he believes the best and toughest coach is his father.

“In my early teens, I was not maybe enjoying it so much, but when I look at what it has brought me and we’re still doing it, I just really enjoy it.”
Speaking in the same interview with Sky Sports, Gakpo gave an insight into what makes Slot tick and how he is as a person on and off the pitch.
He said: “He’s just very normal.
When we start to train or when we do a meeting, he’s very focused on what he wants us to do, and what he wants to teach us.
“He’s very serious, very demanding as well, from the quality, from the intensity, but when the training is over and we do maybe a team activity or something, and he’s there, he’s very relaxed.

“I think everybody likes him as a person.
Obviously, when you win, it makes it a little bit easier.
“Occasionally, like in the derby against Everton, we saw a little bit of raw emotion from the manager, but I think, overall, he’s very calm, and tries to speak with logic a lot of times.
