Liverpool have added another member to Arne Slot’s backroom staff ahead of next season.
The Reds earlier confirmed the arrival of Giovanni van Bronckhorst as assistant coach in June 2025.
Van Bronckhorst joined Slot’s backroom staff following the departure of his former Netherlands international teammate, John Heitinga, who has been appointed as the new head coach of Ajax.
Bronckhorst brings a wealth of coaching experience, having previously managed Feyenoord, Chinese club Guangzhou R&F, Rangers, and Besiktas.
Xavi Valero has also returned to the club as head of first-team goalkeeper coaching following the departure of both Fabian Otte and Claudio Taffarel.
Liverpool have now announced that Colin Stewart has joined the club’s coaching staff as the new goalkeeper development and pathway lead.
Stewart spent nine years at Glasgow Rangers and will link up with Slot’s backroom team.
His first two years with Rangers were spent at the helm of the club’s academy goalkeeping programme, before being promoted to the role of first-team goalkeeper coach, in which he served for the past seven years.
Stewart, who is a former professional goalkeeper himself, also worked with the Scottish FA for more than a decade as a goalkeeping coach educator, delivering relevant courses across the country.
He is expected to support Valero on a daily basis in working with the Reds’ senior stoppers on and off the pitch.
Colin Stewart will also be in charge of the loan strategies of goalkeepers who are in the process of making the step up from youth level to senior experience, serving as a link between the men’s squad, loan management team, and U21s group.
