Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has named his starting XI to face Everton in today’s Premier League clash at Goodison Park.
Both clubs secured crucial victories on Sunday, with Everton easing their relegation concerns with a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest, while the Reds stayed in the title race with a 3-1 triumph over Fulham.
Despite Sean Dyche’s side still facing relegation worries, their three points at home have provided Everton with hope of safety, perhaps just a win or two away.
The Toffees will be aiming for their first victory over their bitter Merseyside rivals at home in 14 years.
Liverpool reignited their title aspirations with a win in West London, bouncing back from their previous home defeat to Crystal Palace.
Alongside Arsenal, they have the opportunity to increase the pressure on frontrunners Manchester City before their Thursday night clash against Brighton.
Speaking ahead of the game, Klopp said: “So yeah, super-important for us obviously, that’s clear.
“I think with the last two results, Everton pretty much sorted it, staying in the league.
They have us and another home game on the weekend, so three home games [in a row].
“I think we have a pretty good record; only Carlo Ancelotti [won at Anfield], who everybody knows is a really good manager.
“So, we lost against Carlo, [but] besides that we had good results, good games and now it is not too important what we had in the past.
“This is a super-important game for us, so whatever we did in the past is not too important for this game?
