Conor Bradley has been rewarded for his progress at Liverpool with a new long-term contract as the Reds continue to plan for life after Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Bradley has put pen to paper on a deal that will extend his Anfield commitment to June 2029.

The agreement represents a significant improvement on the 21-year-old right-back's most recent contract signed in December 2023., after which he has emerged as a first-team regular under first Jurgen Klopp and now current head coach Arne Slot.

Tying down Bradley to a long-term deal is a major boost for Liverpool, who will lose current first-choice right-back Alexander-Arnold when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The England international is expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.

And Liverpool are pressing ahead with plans to bolster their options in the position with the capture of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Reds have held talks with the player and his representatives and are expected to trigger the 24-year-old's release clause of around £30million.

Bradley, who arrived from Dungannon United as an Academy player in 2019, made his Liverpool senior debut in a League Cup tie at Norwich City in September 2021 and later that year featured in the Champions League.

The Northern Ireland international spent the 2022/23 campaign on loan at Bolton Wanderers where he won the EFL Trophy, and then returned to Liverpool last season during which he made his Premier League debut and scored his first goal in a top-flight win over Chelsea, and started the League Cup final win over the same opponents at Wembley.

Under Slot, Bradley has this season made 27 appearances and is expected to retain his starting place for the Premier League visit to Brighton on Monday.

He becomes the latest Liverpool player to reaffirm their Anfield commitment, with Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk last month penning new deals.

“To sign another contract, I’m very proud and happy to see what the next steps on our journey together will be,” said Bradley to liverpoolfc.com.

“You’ve just got to keep your head down and keep working hard.

“It has been a fantastic two years (with the senior team).
