Diogo Jota has tragically passed away following a car accident in Spain.

Reports on the situation emerged early on Thursday morning, but since then, Liverpool have released a statement on Jota confirming the news.

Many heartfelt messages have been sent from players, pundits and clubs, and now, Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a message to Jota and his family.

Just five days away, Jota was getting married to his girlfriend, and now her life, along with their three kids, has been turned upside down.

Along with tributes from ex-players such as Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, Ronaldo has now put out a statement remembering his former teammate.
