Liverpool are facing an uphill battle to secure Marc Guehi on transfer deadline day as Crystal Palace have strengthened their resolve to keep their captain.

Reporter Charlie Parker-Turner has revealed that Crystal Palace have made a surprise loan bid for Brighton’s Igor Julio, which has already been agreed with Brighton:
