The Premier League’s final two unbeaten sides will collide on Saturday afternoon when Liverpool travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace.

But Crystal Palace have quietly assembled their own impressive unbeaten streak, stretching an incredible 17 matches without defeat across all competitions.

This run includes their Community Shield triumph over Arne Slot’s men just six weeks ago.

Liverpool’s preparation has been complicated by a suspension that Slot described as both “stupid” and “needless”.

Hugo Ekitike will miss Saturday’s encounter after receiving a red card for removing his shirt during his goal celebration against Southampton.

The striker had already been booked for dissent, making his second yellow card particularly avoidable.
