Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton has decided to remain with the club for at least another season despite strong interest from Premier League giants Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Crystal Palace values Wharton highly and has set a hefty asking price of over £100 million to discourage potential suitors. With a contract running until 2029, Palace is in a strong position to retain the midfielder and is keen to keep him amid bids for other key players like Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze.

However, both Liverpool and Wharton seem keen on delaying the move until next summer, as Liverpool faces a significant outlay this summer on other signings, including Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, and an £82.3 million deal for Hugo Ekitike.

Wharton's decision to stay at Crystal Palace for now has solidified Liverpool as favorites in the transfer race, while Tottenham continues to monitor the situation closely.
