Crystal Palace want to sign three centre-backs before the transfer deadline passes with two deals already close to completion.
The Eagles are eager for reinforcements along their backline as they look to finalise their squad before the window closes.
Football Insider have revealed that Marc Guehi is on standby to join Liverpool before the 7pm cut-off, which would leave Palace in need of a replacement.
However, the South London side are reportedly eyeing three defensive incomings, rather than just a single player to fill the void Guehi will leave.
News of the triple defensive swoop is a big boost to Liverpool, as they work on adding Guehi to the British record deadline-day capture of Alexander Isak.

With the transfer deadline fast approaching, Palace are close to agreeing a deal with Brighton for Brazilian centre-back Igor Julio.
It is expected to be an initial loan move with an option to buy included in the agreement.

Palace are also set to bring in Jaydee Canvot from Toulouse in a package worth £23million, but the 19-year-old is seen as one for the future rather than a senior option.
According to Rob Dorsett, the Eagles are still searching for another centre-back, as well as Canvot and Igor, in order to fully replace Guehi if he departs.
Manuel Akanji is one who has been linked with Palace, but it is thought that a deal for the Switzerland international will be hard to pull off.
Meanwhile, Sheffield United are exploring a move to bring Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi back to Bramall Lane, sources have told Football Insider.
The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at the Blades from Palace, and the Championship outfit are working on a last-minute deal to bring him back.
Sources say that it would be another loan deal, as it was last term, which would see Rak-Sakyi spend the campaign in Sheffield.
Last season, the youngster started 22 Championship games for United, scoring seven goals and picking up one assist.
