Curtis Jones has made his stance on Anthony Gordon potentially joining Liverpool crystal clear with his latest social media activity.
The Reds were heavily linked with the former Everton winger last summer, as Newcastle United looked to make a significant sale to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
However, the Magpies ultimately avoided selling one of their key stars by offloading Elliot Anderson to Nottingham Forest and Yankuba Minteh to Brighton before the deadline.
That said, while Liverpool are not actively seeking reinforcements on the left wing this summer, the links to Gordon have not disappeared.
Luis Diaz’s future remains somewhat uncertain amid reported interest from both Barcelona and the Saudi Pro League.

Still, widespread reports suggest Liverpool have little desire to part ways with the Colombian, unless a significant offer comes in that would allow them to replace him with someone of similar or greater quality.
Speculation around Gordon continues, in part due to his Liverpool roots and his close friendship with Reds midfielder Jones.
The two are frequently seen together when away on international duty with England.

Jones appears to have signalled his desire to see Gordon join him at Anfield, having liked an Instagram post highlighting the ongoing rumours of Liverpool’s interest should Diaz depart.
Newcastle content creator ‘Geordie Josh’ drew attention to Jones’ activity on X, also pointing out the duo’s close relationship.

Liverpool have already made one major addition this summer, triggering Jeremie Frimpong’s release clause to bring the Dutch right-back in from Bayer Leverkusen following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s move to Real Madrid.

The Reds are also deep in negotiations for another Leverkusen star, Florian Wirtz, over a deal that could see them break both their own transfer record and potentially the Premier League record to secure his signature.
