Danny Ings officially signs for new club

For Liverpool fans, Ings will always be remembered as a highly talented player whose career was unfortunately hampered by serious injuries.

Signed by Brendan Rodgers in 2015, Ings’ time at Liverpool was plagued by knee injuries that limited him to just 25 appearances and four goals across all competitions.

Despite these setbacks, he remained somewhat of fan favourite on Merseyside.

After joining the Hammers from Aston Villa in January 2023, Ings made 69 appearances and contributed to their memorable 2023 UEFA Europa Conference League campaign.

And it has now been revealed that the former England international has joined a new club.

Sheffield United have officially confirmed the signing of Ings on a one-year deal with an option to extend.

The striker joins the Blades after a short period of training at the club.

On signing for the Blades, Ings commented: “I am delighted.

When I spoke to the manager and he asked me to come up and spend some time with him and the group, I just thought it was a great opportunity.”

“To be sat here now speaking to you, and the Sheffield United fans, is just fantastic.”

“As soon as I spoke to the manager, I wanted to get up here and sit down face-to-face and meet everybody here?

To be sat here now, and signed, it is really exciting.”

“I’ve been keeping myself fit and I’ve just been waiting for the right opportunity

I thought this was a great one for me and a chance to progress my career as well.”
